Planet, People, Places. We are responsible for the damage. We are responsible for the restoration.

Screens Taught Me a Lot

Apart from reading and sports, one of the things that always brings me joy is watching a good documentary film. It started with Marty Stouffer’s Wild America and never stopped. Wildlife has always been my first choice, and nothing is more joyful to me than seeing big cats on the screen. In fact, at one point, when AI-generated content had not flooded social media, I watched almost every available big cat film on YouTube.

Earlier, I used to watch National Geographic and BBC documentaries as a hobby. In Kuwait, I found a new channel, BBC HD, which was a wonderland for me, and I still miss that channel. As far as I know, it is telecast in very few regions.

Apart from wildlife and planet exploration films, I have also been watching historical, adventure, travel, archaeological, and other films. I believe that the most beautiful use of modern technology, particularly filmmaking, is that it has made us aware of our planet. It has also brought the realization of how much damage we have done to this beautiful place called Earth, and how it has now reached even into space. It has now become an obligation for us to broaden our thinking horizon, identify where we can contribute, and immediately begin reversing the damage we have caused. We are already too late.

When I reflect on my list of recommended documentaries, I realize how much there is to share with all of you. Please use the section below to subscribe to my newsletter, where I will share my watchlist, what each film taught me, and how it can benefit you.
