The Problem
With over 200 million speakers worldwide, Urdu is the 10th most widely spoken language in the world. Yet, there is no centralized digital library or self-publishing platform. This is partly due to the script of the language itself, as both Urdu and Arabic are still not fully supported on the most prominent digital book platform, “Amazon Kindle.” Furthermore, the large book repository platform “Rekhta” primarily stores scanned copies and operates on a foundation-based model.
There is clearly a significant gap for a platform that is purpose-driven, offers an attractive UI/UX interface with effective features, has a viable business model, and has the potential to scale.
The Solution
Adeeb Online is the answer to this problem. With a clear “Just Cause,” we aim to revive the reading culture by offering a platform that is aligned with the latest technology, provides an unmatched reading experience, and is equipped with effective features. Adeeb Online is based on a business model that is viable for both readers and authors and is highly scalable to adopt the latest technological enhancements and AI features that will continue to enhance the user experience.
